HOW DO I SEND MY SONG TO YA HEARD?
You can only upload an mp3 file. If you have a CD and want to convert that to an mp3, please follow the instructions below. If you already have an mp3 file skip this section and go to the uploading your mp3 section.
HOW DO I TRANSFER MY CD TO A MP3?
- Download RealJukebox
- After download is complete go to "options" under options, select "configure wizard"
- Answer the questions related to the method the CD was recorded.
- Note: Select No, Don't look for music.
- Note: Do not select "enable start recording"
- Note: Select "MP3" as the format
- Note: Select "Default" to choose the storage area for the MP3 file.
- Default location C:/My Music/ can be used as the directory for saving a MP3 file or select a directory of choice.
- Click Finish
- Select the track you want recorded to the hard drive
- Click Record
- Name the MP3 file
- Go back to BET.com to Ya Heard?
HOW TO (SEND) UPLOAD AN MP3
- Click on the "Upload" link on the top navigation.
- If you are already a member just enter your name and password. If not, complete the BET.com registration. You will have to go back to Ya Heard? to continue the upload process.
- You will then be redirected back to yaheard.bet.com; Complete a seperate user submission form (including profile information about yourself or your band)
- After you submit your personal information, you are now ready to upload the MP3 to Ya Heard? Using the browse button select the mp3 file; you also have an option to upload an image for your profile(artist page). You can upload your mp3 and image together or seperately.
- Click 'upload' to complete the process.
- You will get a response that tells you the status of the uploads delivery. The MP3 will not show up on the site immediately. All MP3s are reviewed before posted onto BET.com.
HOW TO LISTEN (DOWNLOAD) A SONG
You will need to have either Windows Media Player or RealPlayer G2 installed on your computer. When using RealPlayer select view then options then MP3 files to set the player to play MP3 files.
